untitledSkömmu eftir að Adam Sandler floppaði hart með ‘gamanmyndinni’ Blended skrifaði hann undir fjögurra bíómynda samning við Netflix. The Ridiculous 6, sem var frumsýnd á föstudaginn á netleigunni, er sú fyrsta í þeirri röð. Þar fær grínarinn að spreyta sig með mönnum á borð við Taylor Lautner, Rob Schneider, Terry Crews, Luke Wilson og fleirum.

Myndin fetar fast í fótspor langflestra Sandler-mynda með því að gerast skotmark fyrir gagnrýnendur, og liggur við að sé meiri afþreying og húmor í dómunum sem hún er að fá heldur en tveggja klukkutíma Sandler-farsa sem gerist í villta vestrinu… þar sem hann talar með óþolandi „Batman-rödd“ (eins og þið finnið fyrir í sýnishorninu).

Hér skulum við aðeins kíkja á hressustu dómanna.

„Humor is murdered over the course of 119 deathly minutes by Adam Sandler in „The Ridiculous 6,“ a Western spoof that, like its protagonist’s feats of magical heroism, is best described as „some mystical shit.“ – The Playlist

„The Ridiculous 6 is everything wrong with Hollywood for the past two decades.“ – The Wrap

„The Ridiculous Six“ looks to revive the spirit of „Blazing Saddles,“ but Sandler’s instincts are far too dulled at this point, adding another crude misfire to a growing list of career disappointments.“ – BluRay.com

„The bad news: the experience of watching „The Ridiculous 6“ feels akin to streaming an especially lengthy box set. The good news: you can schedule as many „Hateful Eight“-style intermissions as you like.“ – Empire

„To say that Sandler and Tim Herlihy’s script is „episodic“ would be an understatement. It’s a series of scenes only loosely connected by cast and location. I’ve seen episodes of „Saturday Night Live“ in which the sketches seemed more of a single piece than parts of this film… The film has no flow, no rhythm, and absolutely no reason to be 119 minutes.“ – RogerEbert.com

„At its worst, „The Ridiculous 6″ plays the Donald Trump card of sneering at political correctness in one scene, and then make amends for being a jerk in the next.“ – Chicago Tribune

„After several years of reviewing awful Adam Sandler movies, the question often comes up, why do we even bother covering them? I guess the reason is that if people keep spending huge sums to make them instead of something even moderately more deserving, than we should still take the time to rightfully criticize them. And Sandler, let’s not forget, wasn’t always awful and has talent. He just reallydoesn’t care anymore, and to that end, neither should we.“ – JoBlo.com

„If you are the one person still watching these for fun because you think they’re hilarious, please, please show yourself and explain it to me.“ – RedEye

Hér er trailerinn aftur….

Þá er bara að „vona“ að næstu þremur Neflix-myndum Sandlers dafni betur…
